ABOUT SANDY HORNE

Sandy Horne has been a musician for over twenty-five years. She is a founding member of the iconic Canadian New Age Band, The Spoons. She is a skilled bass player and one of the first women in Canada to break the gender mold by taking up the bass, usually, back in the day considered a male preserve. The Band's breakthrough album, "Arias & Symphonies", produced three top 40 hits:  biggest hits included:  "Nova Heart", "Smiling in Winter", "Arias & Symphonies." Another huge hit was, "Romantic Traffic." The band had several gold records and Juno Nominations - They were robbed -  they should have won a Juno, the band that did win that year almost immediately disappeared into the mists of time, the Spoons are still happening and perform several concerts a year! They recently released an album of never before heard songs.

Sandy decided to set up her own recording studio and make it available to other interested singers and musicians because she felt it was time to flex her own creative and producer muscles.  In other words, she simply wanted to do things her way, works for Teya Peya Productions! This is how she met electronic wunderkind, Jeff, who helped her understand QBase. For more on Sandy, cruise through Thunderbird's website, she's everywhere, she's everywhere!

ABOUT JEFF CARTER

Jeff is the founder of his own band, Puncturevine, a band that has found its creative outlet in the electronic fusion genre.  He is a fantastic keyboardist, sync expert and highly original songwriter. The band has just released their third album, "Ignite." He's also a pretty funny guy! I like having a younger brother that I can give a really hard time to!

"Puncturevine also incorporates a more modern, groove-oriented feel, along with heavy concentration on vocal performance and texture. Gritty, bluesey vocal lines contrast sooth, thick layered harmonies, and then jump into full-on industrial distortion." (From their website: (www.puncturevine.ca)

Sandy and Jeff  work with Cubase 4 plus a variety of other incredible software packages with hot sounds.  Jeff is a genius on the equipment - it's quite awesome to watch him at work, the speed of light doesn't go as fast as he does when he's cruisin' in editing mode!

Sandy and the Spoons. January 19, 2008, Rose Theatre in Brampton. A wonderful concert with two encores! Here they are signing autographs in the lobby after the show. One of the photos is with one of their favourite, fans, Michelle. It was fun to watch her sing every word of every song during the evening.

Sandy and Jeff Got Married!! (September 7, 2008)

My Sister, Kate and I, were proud to preside at the wedding ceremony in full Pacific Northwest Coast regalia.
